There are some survey sites which ask you to pay first or later. They are not survey sites at all. They are either survey directories or worse still ponzi schemes. A real survey site will never ask you to pay. They are there to pay you money not take your money. So be careful about them.

Actually as per terms of many survey sites, you can actually complain about the existng member who referred you, if the member takes money for  giving a referral to the site.

The customer of the  survey site is paying big dollar to the survey company, to get important data about consumer behavior, who in turn shares part of the money to us for  spending our valuable  time on the survey. So the survey company does not need your money to survive. It is ponzi scheme which needs your money to survive.

You do not  pay your employer to get a job. Why should you pay to do surveys?
